Nature Enthusiasts from Science Committee Visit Nature Sadhana Center

Udaipur: A group of 25 nature enthusiasts from the Science Committee, Udaipur, visited the Nature Sadhana Center located at Bedla, run by Vidya Bhavan, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The visit aimed to learn about environmental conservation efforts being carried out at the center.

Center Coordinator Dr. R.L. Shrimali informed that the dense forest, spread over 125 hectares, serves as a sanctuary for various flora and fauna of the Aravalli range, where multiple species are being conserved. The area is home to numerous freely roaming bird species. Committee President Prof. Mahip Bhatnagar provided insights into different bird species, their habitats, food, and food chains.

Executive President Munish Goyal stated that the site has been developed as a “Nature Interpretation Center.” General Secretary Dr. R.K. Garg explained in detail about the trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, various grass species, reptiles, and amphibians found there.

The visit also saw notable participation from Chief Patron Dr. K.L. Kothari, along with Dr. K.L. Totawat, Shivratna Tiwari, Dr. Pushpa Kothari, Dr. Naresh Sharma, and other members. Dr. Shrimali also shared preventive measures to deal with forest fires in the area.
