First-Ever Visit of an MP to Dhol Village; MP Rawat Lays Foundation Stones for Roads

Udaipur: Dr. Mannalal Rawat visited Gogunda and Sayra tehsils on Wednesday, where he participated in several programs and laid the foundation stone for road construction in Dhol Gram Panchayat. Notably, since independence, he is the first Member of Parliament to visit Dhol village. The villagers welcomed him warmly to mark the occasion.

Earlier in the day, Dr. Rawat flagged off the Gram Rath in Dadiya village of Gogunda tehsil, in the presence of MLA Pratap Gameti and other public representatives. He also visited the residence of BJP worker Dakka Ba Gayari in the same village to pay his respects after the latter’s demise.

Later, in Sayra tehsil, the MP laid the foundation stone for a road from Dhol–Poonawali Road to Parta Ji ki Bhagal under the Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana in Dhol Gram Panchayat, Gogunda. The approximately 1.5 km road will be constructed at a cost of ₹85.77 lakh. Another road from MDR 147 to Chhapra, around 2 km in length, was also inaugurated, with an estimated cost of ₹1.09 crore. Additionally, a 700-meter road from MDR 147 to Saathi ka Houda was also initiated, costing about ₹42.25 lakh.

These road projects are expected to significantly improve connectivity and ease transportation for rural residents. Villagers expressed their happiness, noting that it was the first time since independence that an MP had visited Dhol village.

On the occasion, Dr. Rawat said his aim is to reach every village that needs development. He also raised the issue of connecting smaller население villages with paved roads under the Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana, leading to the approval of several projects in Udaipur, Salumber, and Pratapgarh districts.

MLA Pratap Gameti added that the government is committed to connecting every village with proper roads to ensure better facilities for rural communities.

Several dignitaries were present at the event, including Sayra Pradhan Sawaram, Nandesma Mandal General Secretary Jitendra Shrimali, former Sarpanch Lokesh Paliwal, Jawaharlal Jain, Dhol Sarpanch Mohan Lal Gameti, and other local representatives and community members.
