Udaipur: A series of captivating performances were presented during “Nrityam 2026” organized at the Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, Udaipur.
Director Dr. Laik Hussain stated that April 29 is celebrated worldwide as International Dance Day. On this occasion, the institution organized “Nrityam 2026,” where classical dance gurus and their disciples from the city showcased mesmerizing performances in their respective styles.
The program began with the ceremonial garlanding and lighting of a lamp before the portrait of Padma Shri Devilal Samar by Honorary Secretary Satyaprakash Gaud and other distinguished guests.

At the conclusion of the event, Honorary Secretary Satyaprakash Gaud and the guests honored all participating dance gurus with shawls and garlands.
Dr. Hussain expressed gratitude to all guests and performers and said that the objective of “Nrityam” is to provide a platform for gurus who are training new talent in classical dance forms and preserving India’s cultural heritage by passing it on to the younger generation. He added that Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal has been organizing “Nrityam” for several years to encourage artists by providing them a stage, and will continue to do so in the future.
