One-Day Training Program organized for Mediators in Udaipur

Udaipur: A one-day training program for mediators was organized under the aegis of the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, Jaipur, and chaired by Shri Gyan Prakash Gupta, Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Udaipur.

According to ADJ Kuldeep Sharma, the program was conducted under the guidance of the Supreme Court’s Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee. The training session was attended by District and Sessions Judge Gyan Prakash Gupta, Commercial Court Judge and In-charge of Mediation Mahendra Kumar Dave, POCSO Court No. 2 Bhilwara Judge Archana Mishra, and trained mediator and advocate from Jodhpur, Pramila Acharya, who served as key resource persons.

The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Goddess Saraswati by Chairman Gyan Prakash Gupta and other dignitaries, including judges and advocates. Chief Judicial Magistrate Ambika Solanki was also present on the occasion.

Judge Archana Mishra and mediator Pramila Acharya explained the finer aspects of mediation. They elaborated on the entire process—from referral of cases to the mediation center to their resolution through mediation. Role-play sessions were also conducted to demonstrate how disputes can be amicably settled while ensuring satisfaction of both parties.

Judicial officers and selected advocates from Banswara, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, and Dungarpur participated in the training program.
