Udaipur | A seminar on the theme “Social Relevance of Buddhist Philosophy” was organized today under the Philosophy Wing of the Science Committee.
The keynote speaker, President’s Award recipient Professor Prem Suman Jain, stated that the Buddhist tradition teaches the elevation of human life through purity of body, speech, and mind by practicing Śīla (ethical conduct), Samādhi (meditation), and Prajñā (wisdom).
The program was chaired by Dr. M. L. Kachhara, who shed light on various aspects of the development of Jainism and Buddhism.
Media coordinator Professor Vimal Sharma informed that the discussion was further enriched by the participation of program convener Dr. Parasmal Agrawal, Science Committee chief Dr. K. L. Kothari, Dr. K. P. Talesara, Dr. K. L. Totawat, Munish Goyal, R. L. Munshi, Dr. Pushpa Kothari, Dr. S. L. Godawat, Engineer R. K. Chaturvedi, Rajendra Khokhawat, and several other distinguished participants.
