Udaipur: Prof. Dr. Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, conducted a surprise inspection of the Swami Vivekananda PG Hostel located at Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur, on March 8, 2026.
On this occasion, Chief Hostel Warden Dr. Hari Singh welcomed him. PG Hostel Wardens Dr. Vinod Saharan and Dr. Abhay Dashora were also present during the visit.
During the inspection, the Vice-Chancellor reviewed the hostel arrangements and interacted with the students to understand their concerns and suggestions. He inspected the hostel premises, rooms, cleanliness, drinking water facilities, security, and other basic amenities. He directed the concerned officials to ensure better residential facilities for students, emphasizing that providing a comfortable living environment is a priority for the university. He also instructed that necessary improvements should be implemented promptly.
On this occasion, Dr. Hari Singh, Dr. Vinod Saharan, and Dr. Abhay Dashora briefed the Vice-Chancellor about the current hostel facilities and the initiatives being taken in the interest of the students.
While interacting with the students, Prof. Dr. Pratap Singh stated that the university is committed not only to providing quality education but also to ensuring the overall development of its students. He encouraged them to maintain discipline, keep their surroundings clean, and actively participate in academic as well as creative activities.
After the inspection, the Vice-Chancellor sat with the students in the hostel dining hall and shared a meal with them. He also had an informal conversation with the students and listened to their experiences and suggestions, which created a sense of enthusiasm among them.
At the end of the program, Dr. Abhay Dashora expressed gratitude to Prof. Dr. Pratap Singh for visiting the hostel and taking the time to listen to the students’ concerns. Students appreciated such initiatives by the university administration and expressed enthusiasm following the inspection.
