Narendra Yadav, Renu Kumari, and Ashish Sharma Awarded Ph.D. Degrees in Agricultural Economics

Udaipur: Three research scholars from the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur—Narendra Yadav, Renu Kumari, and Ashish Sharma—have successfully earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees, bringing pride to the university.

Narendra Yadav completed his research under the guidance of Dr. Latika Sharma on the topic “Sustainable Livelihood Security and Farm-Level Agricultural Diversification in Rajasthan.” His study highlights various dimensions of agricultural diversification in the state, focusing on farmers’ livelihood security and efficient resource utilization. The findings are expected to contribute significantly to future policy-making and agricultural development.

Similarly, Renu Kumari conducted her research under the supervision of Dr. Hari Singh on “Impact Evaluation of Farming System Modules under the Integrated Farming System Project in Southern Rajasthan.” Her study provides a detailed analysis of the impact of different modules of integrated farming systems on income generation, employment opportunities, and the overall livelihood of farmers.

Ashish Sharma carried out his research under the direction of Dr. Hari Singh on the topic “Production, Marketing, and Export Performance of Onion in India.” His work offers an in-depth analysis of trends in onion production, challenges in the marketing system, and export performance, contributing valuable insights into agricultural trade and price stability.

All three scholars expressed their gratitude to their respective supervisors and advisory committee members for their guidance and support. They also extended their thanks to the Head of the Department, Dr. Girdhari Lal Meena, and the Dean, Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahla, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, MPUAT, Udaipur, for their continuous encouragement and assistance.
