Udaipur: In the PIMS Mewar Cup Season 4, jointly organized by Pacific Hospital, Vinay Cricket Club, and Leela Foundation, GCA secured a commanding 138-run victory over Crossroads International School in Monday’s semifinal match to advance to the final.
Batting first, GCA posted a formidable total of 217 runs in 18 overs, losing all their wickets. Ahaan Poddar scored a brisk 57 off 31 balls, while Smit Patel contributed 50 runs from 27 balls. For Crossroads International School, Brijesh Sharma claimed three wickets.
In reply, Crossroads International School had a disastrous start, losing three wickets during the powerplay itself. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals, giving the team no opportunity to recover. GCA’s Hemang Patel delivered a match-winning performance with the ball, claiming five wickets for just 25 runs. The entire Crossroads team was bundled out for only 79 runs.
In the first semifinal played earlier, Udaipur Lakecity Warriors posted a total of 186 runs in 20 overs. Siddharth Patidar scored 56 runs off 42 balls, including two sixes and six fours. In response, Adityam Real Estates were bowled out for 165 runs in 19 overs, losing the match by 21 runs.
Pankaj Kumar played an impressive knock of 74 runs, smashing four sixes and eight fours, but could not steer his team to victory. P. Akash also contributed a quick 41 runs off 17 balls. For Udaipur Lakecity Warriors, Irfan delivered a sensational bowling spell, taking six wickets for just 11 runs in four overs. Sidak Singh chipped in with two wickets.
