 PMCH :Body Donation Awareness Program Organized;

Udaipur, The Anatomy Department of Pacific Medical College and Hospital orchestrated a Body Donation Awareness Program, witnessing the commitment of three individuals towards the cause.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. M.M. Mangal, President of Pacific Medical University, alongside Prof. V.C. Dr. Sangeeta Chauhan, Additional Principal Dr. Vinodini Varahade, Department Head of Anatomy Dr. Heena Sharma, Department Head of Anatomy at Bhilwara Medical College Dr. Pooja Gangarade, and Dr. Isha Shrivastav. They illuminated the ceremonial lamp before the statue of Goddess Saraswati.

Dr. Heena Sharma, the Department Head of Anatomy, articulated that the program aims to enlighten the community about the importance of body donation and its pivotal role in medical education. This initiative seeks to equip future healthcare professionals with essential training, thus contributing significantly to the advancement of medical knowledge.

During the event, Dr. Sharma emphasized the endeavor of the Anatomy Department to foster awareness among society regarding the invaluable impact of body donation on medical science and education. This, in turn, ensures the availability of proficient medical professionals for the future.

Dr. Isha Shrivastav provided comprehensive insights into body donation and elucidated the procedural aspects involved.

In a poignant moment, Mr. Bhimsingh Sarupariya and his wife Chandrakala Sarupariya, along with Amit Choudhary, solemnly pledged their bodies for donation.

The awareness program saw active participation from department heads, students, and relatives of patients from all departments of Pacific Medical College and Hospital.

This initiative stands as a significant stride towards fostering awareness and understanding about body donation, ultimately contributing to the advancement of medical education and healthcare services in our society.
