Orientation Program Commences on 'Ethical Healthcare Services and Medical Morality'

Pacific Medical University, Pacific University, University Association of Indian Universities, and Government Arya Institute of Medical Sciences, jointly initiated a four-day orientation program on "Ethical Healthcare Services and Medical Morality" under the combined auspices of PMU. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by PMU Chairman Rahul Agrawal, CEO Sharad Kothari, Chairman of UNESCO MGIEP and Gautam Buddha University Greater Noida, former Chancellor Dr. Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, PMU President Dr. M.M. Mangal, Renowned Specialist from Asthiroag Hospital, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Dr. Purnendu Saxena, Dr. Anurag Srivastava from Government Arya Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida, and PMU Chairman's advisor Dr. A.P. Gupta.

In his address, PMU President Dr. M.M. Mangal emphasized the need for medical practitioners to adopt ethical values and "cultured healthcare services" in their lives. Dr. Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, the former Chancellor of UNESCO MGIEP and Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, provided an overview of the program's objectives and elements to the participating members and stakeholders. He highlighted the significant impact of our diet on our health and genetics, emphasizing how our behaviors change accordingly. Cultured healthcare services integrate human values and emotions along with medical treatment, benefiting the patient.

During the program, Bhayyaji Joshi extended his congratulations through video messages for the successful organization of the orientation program and discussed the project's objectives and components. 

On the second day of the program, April 23, Dr. Rajrani Sharma will speak on Basic of Holistic Health Care Services, Dr. Mahendra Khatri on Preserving Health/Preventive Health, Dr. Vinodini Varahade on Code of Ethics for Doctors, and Dr. Kapil Byas on Social Responsiveness of Hospitals and Diagnostic Clinics through various technical sessions.

On April 24, Dr. Harish Kumawat will speak on Ethics for Paramedical Personnel, Dr. Ritu Bhatnagar on Ethics in Medical Investigation, Dr. M.M. Mangal on Surgical Ethics, and Dr. Atulabh Vajpayee on the Role of Spiritualism in Healthcare Services in their respective sessions.

The program will conclude on April 25 with Dr. Pushpakant Shakdwipi speaking on Human Resource Management and the Role of Emotional Intelligence in Managing Healthcare Services, and Dr. Jayanti Bhai Bhadesiya delivering a keynote address on Ancient Health Systems as a distinguished lecture from Morbi.
