Sri Ganganagar: The first National Lok Adalat of the year was organized on a large scale on March 14, 2026, across the jurisdiction of Sri Ganganagar under the guidance of the National Legal Services Authority, the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, Jaipur, and Ravindra Kumar, District and Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Sri Ganganagar.
The Lok Adalat was also conducted at all taluka headquarters of the district.
At the district headquarters, benches were chaired by Madan Gopal Arya (Family Court Judge No. 01), Kamal Lohia (ADJ No. 02), Ravi Prakash Suthar (Secretary, District Legal Services Authority), Abha Gehlot (Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate No. 01), and Mandeep (Judicial Magistrate No. 02). Members included Naib Tehsildar Harpat Ram and advocates Udaypal Bishnoi, Sanjay Potlia, Ramesh Singh, Rohtash Kumar Mahendra, and Banwarilal Kadela.
Significant contributions in the disposal of pre-litigation cases were made by Rohtash Yadav, Aman Chalana, and Karan Dhawan.
According to ADJ Ravi Prakash Suthar, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, a total of 5 benches at the district headquarters and 8 benches at the taluka headquarters worked to dispose of cases.

In accordance with the guidelines of the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, pre-counseling sessions were conducted before referring cases to the Lok Adalat to encourage settlements through mutual agreement.
The Lok Adalat mainly handled cases related to:
Compoundable criminal matters
Cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act
Money recovery disputes
Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) cases
Matrimonial disputes
Bank, electricity, water, and consumer matters
Revenue and other civil disputes
Representatives from several banks including State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, and Rajasthan Gramin Bank were also present.
In a State Bank of India case from the Dungarsinghpura branch, a loan of ₹17.73 lakh was settled for ₹7.60 lakh, benefiting the borrower Omprakash, who expressed gratitude for the relief.
At the SBI UIT Road branch, a loan of ₹5.70 lakh was settled for ₹1.70 lakh in favor of Raja Ram.
In a Rajasthan Gramin Bank case from Koni branch, Babulal Suthar settled a ₹7.88 lakh loan for ₹3.89 lakh.
At the SBI Kalyan branch, Chunni Lal settled a ₹29 lakh loan for ₹17.50 lakh.
In the National Lok Adalat:
11,415 pending court cases were taken up, of which 6,044 cases were resolved, resulting in an award of ₹11.76 crore.
66,211 pre-litigation cases were presented, out of which 50,414 cases were settled, with awards totaling ₹46.04 crore.
At the conclusion of the Lok Adalat, ADJ Ravi Prakash Suthar expressed gratitude to all departments, financial institutions, advocates, and members of the public for their cooperation in successfully organizing the event.
