Sri Ganganagar, On the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, the district administration and police organized an anti-drug rally in Sri Ganganagar. The rally aimed to pay tribute to the “Iron Man of India” and raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse.
The rally was flagged off by District Collector Dr. Manju, with participation from thousands of students, youth, social organizations, and citizens holding banners and slogans. In her address, Dr. Manju emphasized that drugs harm not just individuals but entire families and communities. She urged youth to stay away from substances to ensure a bright and safe future for the nation.
Slogans such as “Quit Drugs, Unite the Nation”, “Drugs Are Punishment, Not Fun”, and “Healthy Youth, Strong India” were raised throughout the rally. Participants took a pledge to abstain from drugs and help raise awareness among others.
Officials present included Additional District SPs Raghubir Sharma and Rameshwar Lal, Director of Social Justice Virendra Pal Singh, CO Rural Rahul Yadav, Lady Police Station In-Charge Suman Jaipal, and local police officers. The District Collector also appealed to citizens to actively support the Nasha Mukti Sri Ganganagar campaign.
