Press Club Kota Holds Annual General Meeting; Women Journalists Honored on Women’s Day

Kota: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Press Club Kota was held on Sunday at the Prof. Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi Auditorium, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and engagement. The meeting featured detailed discussions on the club’s activities, finances, journalists’ welfare, and future plans. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, female members of the club, along with Ms. Rachna Sharma, Assistant Director of Public Relations, and Ms. Akanksha Sharma, Assistant Public Relations Officer, were felicitated with floral tributes.

The AGM was presided over by Press Club President Gajendra Vyas, and the program began with the garlanding of Maa Saraswati’s portrait and lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

Commitment to Journalists’ Welfare
In his welcome address, President Gajendra Vyas extended greetings to all members and presented a detailed overview of the club’s achievements over the past year. He emphasized that Press Club Kota has always worked in the best interests of its members and will continue to make dedicated efforts to resolve journalists’ issues. He also assured that suggestions and proposals put forward by members during the AGM would be positively considered to further enhance the club’s activities and facilities.

Acknowledgment for Pension Initiatives
Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sharma presented the annual report, sharing insights into the club’s various activities and future plans, and expressed gratitude for the measures taken to increase journalists’ pensions.

The meeting reinforced the club’s commitment to promoting the welfare of journalists and creating a platform for collaboration and professional growth.
