Kota: During a program held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday, a delegation from the **Greater Kota Press Club**, led by President **Sunil Mathur** and General Secretary **Anil Bhardwaj**, met **Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma** and drew his attention to several pressing issues faced by journalists.
The delegation included **Senior Vice President Hemant Sharma**, **Patron K.L. Jain**, and **Subodh Jain**, along with the President and General Secretary. Chief Minister **Bhajanlal Sharma** warmly interacted with the journalists, introducing himself to representatives from different districts. He assured them that since the **honorarium amount for journalists has already been increased**, other pending issues would also be addressed on a priority basis.
During the meeting, **Anil Bhardwaj** raised the issue of the **Chandresal residential scheme for journalists in Kota** and requested the Chief Minister to consider increasing the amount allotted for the **medical diary scheme**. **Hemant Sharma** urged the government to convert the honorarium for journalists into a **pension scheme**.
President **Sunil Mathur** expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and thanked him for organizing such an event for journalists at the Chief Minister’s residence for the first time. **K.L. Jain** highlighted the concerns of **small and medium newspapers** and demanded an immediate increase in **advertisement rates**, while **Subodh Jain** raised the issue of **journalists’ safety**.
Journalists from across the state also presented their concerns to the Chief Minister, who assured them that the issues would be considered seriously.
On this occasion, a **special dinner was also arranged for the journalists** at the Chief Minister’s residence.
