Gadkari and Chief Minister to Inaugurate Road Projects Worth Over 2500 Crores i

*Udaipur, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, and the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, are scheduled to be in Udaipur today. The dignitaries will attend a road inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony at the Resort Maidan near Dabok Airport at 12:30 PM. This event marks the inauguration and foundation-laying of 17 road projects, collectively valued at over 2500 crores.

Following the ceremony, there will be a public meeting at Sar Padampat Singhania University in Bhatewar. The program will be attended by various officials and public figures, including Union Minister of State for Road Transport, General V.K. Singh, Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Kailash Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and State Ministers Gautam Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, among others. Members of Parliament, such as Arjun Lal Meena, C.P. Joshi, Dushyant Singh, Ranjita Koli, Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria, Subhash Chandra Baheria, and Devji M. Patel, along with other esteemed guests, will also be present.

The inauguration ceremony will include the unveiling of several road projects, including the construction of a 6-lane, 93 km stretch between Chittorgarh and Udaipur (estimated cost of 11 crores), a 2-lane paved shoulder for the 44 km section between Bhilwara and Asind (costing 206 crores), a similar 2-lane paved shoulder for the 43 km stretch from Asind to Mandal (costing 186 crores), and the widening of the MDR-150 road from Bhimrasia to Modi-Kurabad (costing 14 crores for 16 km).

Additionally, foundation-laying ceremonies will include the construction of a 2-lane paved shoulder for the 26 km Gagriya-Munabav section (costing 235 crores), an elevated expressway of 6 km in the city of Sanchore (estimated cost of 363 crores), the widening and strengthening of the 18 km Sakroda-Menar road (costing 20 crores), the widening of the 11 km Balukhal to Amlawada-Alimokhpura road (costing 13 crores), and the foundation-laying for the construction of 7 bridges at railway crossings under the Setubandhan project (costing 329 crores).

The combined cost of these projects reflects a significant investment in the development of road infrastructure in the region. The ceremonies are expected to contribute to the enhancement of connectivity and transportation facilities in Udaipur and the surrounding areas.
