### Dr. Pragya Paliwal Gaur Appointed Director General of AIR News Service Division

**New Delhi:** Dr. Pragya Paliwal Gaur, a senior officer of the Indian Information Service (IIS), has been appointed as the Director General of the News Service Division at All India Radio (AIR). Prior to this, she served as the Director General at the Press Information Bureau (PIB) in New Delhi.

Dr. Paliwal assumed her new role in New Delhi on Monday. On this occasion, officials and staff of AIR warmly welcomed her as she took charge as the Director General of the News Service Division.

A 1991 batch officer of the Indian Information Service, Dr. Pragya Paliwal Gaur has rendered her services in various significant roles during her 33-year tenure with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. She has served as Additional Director General at the Press Information Bureau in New Delhi and Jaipur. Additionally, she was the head of the Regional Office of the Press Information Bureau in Jaipur and the Regional News Unit of Doordarshan in Rajasthan.

Known for her cheerful disposition, Dr. Pragya Paliwal Gaur has left a lasting impression with her efficiency, professional competence, and amicable nature wherever she has served. As the Director General of the News Service Division at AIR, she will now oversee several key programs, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Mann Ki Baat" and other important broadcasts of the AIR News Division.
