Archery Event Held as Part of Sports Week

Sri Ganganagar, As part of the Major Dhyan Chand Memorial Sports Week, organized by the District Sports Training Center and the District Administration of Sri Ganganagar, an archery event was held on the fifth day of the week, August 30, 2024, at Maharaja Ganga Singh Stadium.

District Sports Officer Surendra Kumar announced that the event was attended by Head Constable Shivkaran as the guest of honor. A total of 32 players participated in the competition, with 12 players in the girls' category and 20 in the boys' category. The competition was conducted under the guidance of short-term archery coach Gurcharan Singh.

In the Indian Round, Prince secured the first place, while Ramkishan won the first place in the Recurve Round, and Aliza took the top spot in the Compound Round. Vicky, Ganesh, and Harshit achieved second place, and Gursahib Singh, Anuj, and Mohini were awarded third place. The winning players were honored with medals, and all participants took an oath for Fit India.

The event also saw the presence of other sports coaches and dignitaries.
