#### Kiana Parihar and Amay Jain Crowned Udaipur District Under-13 Chess Champions 2024

Udaipur, The Udaipur District Under-13 Chess Championship 2024 concluded successfully at Delhi Public School, Udaipur. Organized by the Udaipur District Chess Association, the tournament witnessed record participation with over 180 young players showcasing their talent in this two-day event.

Girls’ Category: Kiana Parihar Emerges Victorious

In the girls' category, Kiana Parihar from MDS Senior Secondary School, Sector 3, secured the championship title with 5.5 points.

Advika Sarupria from DPS Bhuwana also scored 5.5 points but ranked second based on a tiebreaker.

Khushmita Paliwal from Maharana Mewar Vidyapeeth took third place with 5 points.


Other notable performers:

Fourth and fifth positions were claimed by Nehal Talesra from DPS Bhuwana and Lorisha Kothari from St. Paul’s Senior Secondary School, respectively.

Himani Chaparwal, Veera Kage, and Geet Virani displayed commendable performances with 4.5 points each.

Players finishing in the top 15 included Pratishtha Jaroli, Jesvi Choubisa, Charvi Maheshwari, Riti Gupta, Moral Mehta, Khushi Pagaria, and Vihana Kothari, all scoring 4 points.

Boys’ Category: Amay Jain Clinches the Title

In the boys' category, Amay Jain from Rockwoods International School claimed the championship title with an impressive 6.5 points.

His schoolmate Rishaan Jain secured second place with 6 points.

Lav Agarwal from DPS Bhuwana and Vineet Kage from MDS School also scored 6 points each, ranking third and fourth based on tiebreakers.

Other outstanding performances:

Shrayansh Puri from St. Teresa School, Dhananjay Shukla from MDS School, Nihar Patel from St. Mary’s Convent, and Param Wadhwani from St. Anthony’s School achieved 5.5 points.

The top 15 also included Kian Sureja, Viyansh Bhatnagar from Witty International School, Priyanshu Nayak, Agastya Lodha, Ekansh Jain, Ashmeet Doong, and Kunal Paliwal, all scoring 5 points.

Awards Ceremony and Promising Future

Trophies will be awarded to all winners, with cash prizes for the top four players in each category. The award ceremony is scheduled for November 30, 2024, at DPS Udaipur.

The championship highlighted the exceptional skills of young chess players from leading schools such as DPS, MDS, Rockwoods, St. Paul’s, and St. Anthony’s. The Udaipur District Chess Association remains dedicated to nurturing local talent and encouraging them to excel at state and national levels.
