Ahmedabad, Deendayal Port Authority has been conferred with the prestigious "Make in India Green Initiative of the Year Award" at the Quality Mark Awards 2025, held at Narayani Heights, Ahmedabad. The award recognizes the Authority’s outstanding commitment and contribution towards sustainable practices, environmental protection, and green growth in alignment with the national vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Cabinet Minister Shri Kunvarji Bavalia as the Chief Guest, Shri Dilip Sanghani, Chairman – IFFCO as Guest of Honour, popular Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi, along with Quality Mark Awards President Shri Hetal Thakkar.
The award was proudly received by Shri Ratnashekhar ji - Traffic Manager & Ms. Lata Khatana, – Deendayal Port Authority, on behalf of the organization.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ratnashekhar ji expressed gratitude and said, “This award is a reflection of our continuous efforts in implementing eco-friendly initiatives, promoting renewable energy, reducing carbon footprint, and ensuring sustainable operations at Deendayal Port. Its initiatives include the promotion of renewable energy, digitization of port operations to reduce paper usage, afforestation drives, and the adoption of clean fuels for logistics.
