The 20th National Triennial Conference of the Canara Bank Officers’ Association (CBOA) was held in Visakhapatnam from 8 to 10 November 2025, where the event was concluded with grandeur. The conference was inaugurated by K. Satyanarayana Raju, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Canara Bank, who attended as the Chief Guest.

During the opening ceremony, Raju appreciated the Association’s role and stated that the efforts of bank officers under the leadership of General Secretary K. Ravikumar had contributed significantly to the organisation’s growth. On this occasion, the book titled “The Master Stitch” was released by Raju’s mother, Rama Sita.

General Secretary Ravikumar stated that unity among officers remains the biggest strength of the organisation. Representatives from across the country participated in the conference, where discussions were held on officers’ welfare, challenges in the banking sector, and strategies for the future. A total of 100 proposals were passed unanimously.

On the final day, the new Central Executive Committee was elected. Rajeev Nigam was elected President, K. Ravikumar as General Secretary, Jacob as Chairman, and Sri Ramprasad as Senior Vice President.

The reception committee and the Visakhapatnam administration were appreciated for the successful organisation of the conference. CBOA reiterated its strong opposition to the privatisation of public sector banks and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the interests of bank officers.
