Udaipur: The Annual Official Language Celebration 2025–26 and a grand Kavi Sammelan were successfully organized on Friday at the Shastri Auditorium of the Regional Rail Training Institute, Udaipur under the aegis of the Nagar Rajbhasha Karyanvayan Samiti (NARAKAS), Udaipur. The objective of the event was to promote the use of Hindi in Central Government offices and public sector undertakings and to expand awareness about the Official Language.

The program was presided over by Mr. Hariprasad Meena, Principal General Manager of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited and Chairman of NARAKAS, Udaipur. On this occasion, the proceedings were conducted by Mr. Giriraj Paliwal, Secretary of NARAKAS. Heads of various central government offices, public sector undertakings, banks, insurance institutions, Rajbhasha officers, and employees participated actively in the event.

During the annual ceremony, in the Central Offices category, the Regional Rail Training Institute, Udaipur secured the first position, followed by the Anthropological Survey of India, Western Regional Centre, Udaipur in second place and the Udaipur Solar Observatory in third place. Encouragement awards were presented to the Income Tax Department, Udaipur and the Directorate General of Mines Safety, Udaipur.

In the Public Sector Undertaking category, BEML, Udaipur received the first prize, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited secured the second position, and the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation received the third prize. Encouragement awards were presented to Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 and Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2.

In the Banking and Insurance category, Life Insurance Corporation of India secured the first position, Union Bank of India received the second prize, and Canara Bank secured the third position. Encouragement awards were presented to Punjab National Bank and Bank of Baroda.

The Kavi Sammelan organized as part of the ceremony was the highlight of the event. Renowned poets Sunil Vyas, Manoj Gurjar, Deepika Mahi, and Lokesh Mahakali captivated the audience with their powerful, humorous, and emotional poetry. The program was skillfully hosted by noted stage anchor and poet Rao Ajatshatru.

During the event, speakers emphasized the increased use of Hindi in administrative work and highlighted it as a powerful medium of public communication and cultural expression.

The event was jointly organized by the Regional Rail Training Institute, BEML Limited, Union Bank of India Regional Office, Canara Bank Regional Office, and Life Insurance Corporation of India Divisional Office.

At the conclusion of the program, Mr. Jai Prakash, Office Head and Principal of the Regional Rail Training Institute, Udaipur, expressed gratitude to the NARAKAS Chairman, member offices, heads of departments, guests, participants, poets, and the audience. A dinner was also arranged for participants and guests after the program. The entire event was conducted in an enthusiastic and dignified atmosphere.

Prominent Rajbhasha officers present at the event included Mr. Mukesh Kumar Jangid and Mr. Khem Raj Gadri (Regional Rail Training Institute, Udaipur), Mr. Ajay Chaudhary (Anthropological Survey of India, Udaipur), Ms. Nidhi (BEML), Mr. Giriraj Paliwal (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited), Mr. Pradeep Gunawat (Employees’ State Insurance Corporation), Mr. Anurag Sihra (Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1), and Dr. Sonal Sharma (Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2).

In the banking and insurance category, notable participation was seen from Ms. Rajshri (Life Insurance Corporation of India), Mr. Deepak Kumar Verma (Union Bank of India), Mr. Bhom Singh Bhati (Canara Bank), Mr. Mohan Lal Jaimini (Punjab National Bank), and Mr. Krishna Kumar Rai (Bank of Baroda).
