New Delhi. A grand ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on Friday to mark National Teachers’ Day, where President Droupadi Murmu honored 45 outstanding teachers from across the country with the National Teacher Award. Among the awardees was Mrs. Neelam Yadav, Principal of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Tapukara, Alwar (Rajasthan).

The National Teacher Award, presented annually, aims to recognize and honor teachers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to education. The award not only acknowledges their contribution but also inspires others to improve the quality of teaching and contribute more effectively to the holistic development of students.

Each awardee receives a cash prize of ₹50,000, a medal, and a citation as part of the recognition.

Mrs. Neelam Yadav was honored for her remarkable efforts in improving the quality of education and enhancing student development. Under her leadership, the school witnessed increased enrollment, national-level achievements in co-curricular activities, improved examination results, and the establishment of a digital lab, modernized school laboratories, and smart classrooms with the support of philanthropists and CSR initiatives.

Speaking after receiving the award, Mrs. Yadav said this honor belongs to all teachers who are committed to providing quality education and fostering the all-round development of students.
