Udaipur. Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Rawat has been appointed as the Chairman of the Shri Idana Mataji Shaktipeeth Teerthkshetra Vikas Samiti.

Trust President Gopal Singh Rathore informed that Shri Idana Mataji is one of the most renowned Shaktipeeths of Mewar. This ancient and naturally blessed pilgrimage site attracts thousands of devotees not only from Mewar but also from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. On regular days, hundreds of devotees visit, while on Sundays the number rises to thousands. This Shaktipeeth is believed to be the only one in the world where the deity performs the ritual of Agni Snan (fire bath).

Located 65 km from Udaipur and 25 km from Salumber on the Chittorgarh route, the site is managed by a registered trust under the Devasthan Department. The place is also known for miraculous recoveries of patients suffering from paralysis and other ailments, with many staying here for treatment. To support them, the Annapurna Seva Samiti provides meals throughout the year, while the Gau Seva Samiti manages a cowshed at the premises.

For the comprehensive development of the pilgrimage site and the successful organization of festivals like Navratri, the trust has constituted the Teerthkshetra Vikas Samiti. Dr. Mannalal Rawat has been nominated as its Chairman to provide planning, guidance, and leadership for these initiatives.
