Udaipur – Under the leadership of the All Rajasthan State Employees’ Joint Federation (Integrated), the Rajasthan Divyang (Disabled) Employees Association held a one-day symbolic protest at the Vishesh Yogya Jan Bhavan, Civil Lines, Jaipur.
The protest was addressed by federation leaders Mahendra Singh Choudhary, Dayanand Soni, Vipin Prakash Sharma, Yogendra Singh, among others. During the event, a memorandum of demands was submitted to Director, Specially Abled Persons, IAS Kesharlal Meena.
The protest continued from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, after which a delegation met Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa at the Secretariat, who gave positive assurances regarding their concerns.
The memorandum highlighted key issues, including:

4% reservation in promotions on a notional basis

Withdrawal of the Personnel Department order dated 28 August

Posting transfers near employees’ residences

Increase in vehicle allowance
-
Compliance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016

Action against doctors issuing fake disability certificates

Ensuring disabled persons are not intimidated and promoting transparency

Using benchmark disability as the basis for all benefits
-
Verification of certificates during re-medical assessments, respecting both the 1995 Act guidelines and the 2016 Act for accurate disability determination
Over 300 disabled employees from various districts participated in the protest.
Following the event, a Struggle Committee was formed, including Lokesh Kumar (Bharatpur), Madan Mohan, Manoj Khandelwal, Dinesh Sharma, Nemechand Sharma, Kamal Kishore, Kailash Chand Jat (Jaipur), Nityanand, among others.
Federation leader Mahendra Singh Choudhary assured full support, stating, “The problems of the disabled are our problems too.” Meanwhile, Dayanand Swarnkar, State President of the Disabled Employees Association, expressed gratitude to the participants and warned that if the government does not address the demands within 15 days, a more aggressive movement will be launched, holding the state government responsible.
