Udaipur : A special workshop on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) City District Unit on Sunday at the party office, Patel Circle. The first session, for the Udaipur City Assembly constituency, began at 9:30 a.m., followed by a session for the Udaipur Rural constituency at 11:30 a.m., under the chairmanship of District President Gajpal Singh Rathore.

Media in-charge Dr. Seema Champawat informed that BJP State Minister and former State President of Yuva Morcha, Ashok Saini, attended the workshop as the chief guest. The sessions were also attended by MLAs Tara Chand Jain and Phool Singh Meena, State Convenor of the Cooperative Cell Pramod Samar, District General Secretaries Paras Singhvi, Pankaj Borana, and Devilal Salvi.

District President Gajpal Singh Rathore welcomed everyone, emphasizing that the SIR is the soul of democracy. He stated that it is a crucial process to ensure transparency by removing fake voters and adding new eligible ones. Booth Level Agents (BLAs) have been appointed to work in coordination with government officials to ensure the successful completion of this task.

Chief speaker and BJP State Minister Ashok Saini said that the SIR process is being conducted after two decades, making it a highly significant exercise that must be completed with full responsibility. He added that the Bharatiya Janata Party is not merely a political organization but a movement committed to social and human welfare, continuously working for positive change in society.

Cooperative Cell State Convenor Pramod Samar mentioned that workers have one full month, from November 4 to December 4, to carry out this work, and the final electoral roll is expected to be ready by December 7. He urged all teams to ensure the smooth execution of the process.

Udaipur City MLA Tara Chand Jain informed that there are currently 4,81,489 registered voters in Udaipur city, with about 52,400 voters categorized as inactive. The number is expected to rise further after the revision.

Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena emphasized that during the SIR process, no ineligible voter’s name should be added and no genuine voter should be left out of the list.

For monitoring the SIR in both Udaipur City and Rural constituencies, District Vice Presidents Karan Singh Shaktawat and Jagdish Sharma have been appointed as district-level coordinators. At the Mandal level, the monitoring team for Udaipur City includes Digvijay Shrimali, Manohar Chaudhary, Siddharth Sharma, and Sapna Kuradia; while for Udaipur Rural, Devnarayan Dhabhai, Hazari Jain, Girish Sharma, Prakash Agarwal, Ashish Kothari, and Bhanwar Singh Devda have been designated.

Party Mandal Presidents, along with their teams, will coordinate with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLA-2s to conduct door-to-door voter outreach between November 4 and December 4. They will collect required information, assist voters in filling forms, and address objections after the initial phase. The goal is to ensure accuracy and inclusivity in the voter list.

The meeting was attended by district officials, Mandal General Secretaries, Vice Presidents, Ministers, and Shakti Kendra coordinators. Prominent attendees included Vijay Ahuja, Ruchika Chaudhary, Ranjit Digpal, and Kanhaiya Vaishnav from Udaipur City, and Mohan Meena, Amrit Menaria, Maheshpuri Goswami, Sunil Chaudhary, Pratap Singh Rathore (Debari Mandal), and Mohan Patel (Badgaon Mandal) from Udaipur Rural.

District General Secretary Dr. Pankaj Borana presented detailed information received from the state office regarding the SIR process. The Udaipur City session was conducted by Devilal Salvi, with a vote of thanks by Paras Singhvi. In the rural session, the proceedings were managed by Paras Singhvi and concluded with a vote of thanks by Devilal Salvi.
