Udaipur – Preparations are in full swing for the sporting events proposed to be held in Udaipur under the 5th Khelo India University Games. On Friday, UDA Commissioner and Nodal Officer for the event, Rahul Jain, inspected various venues and reviewed the ongoing arrangements. The visit was conducted under the directions of District Collector Namit Mehta.

Commissioner Jain, along with Assistant Nodal Officer and District Sports Officer Dr. Mahesh Paliwal, inspected the preparations at the Mahakaleshwar Temple premises, where the beach volleyball arena is in its final stage of development. Jain interacted with officials in charge and issued necessary instructions after reviewing the progress.

He also visited the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indoor Stadium to assess the arrangements for the judo competitions, where the court has already been prepared. Branding, German tent accessories, AC fittings, kitchen setup, and warm-up areas are currently being set up.

Additionally, Jain inspected the ongoing preparations at the Fatehsagar Lake promenade for the kayaking and canoeing events. Essential arrangements at the venue are being completed as per schedule. He reviewed feedback from officials regarding sports grounds, accommodation, and other logistical setups and instructed them to complete all tasks with precision.

The inspection highlighted the administration’s commitment to ensuring world-class arrangements ahead of the prestigious university-level sporting event.
