Udaipur. Terapanth Jain community’s revered Acharya Mahashraman received a magnificent welcome in the city on Tuesday as he commenced his Vihar Yatra from Hiran Magri. As soon as the Acharya began his walk, thousands of devotees joined him, forming a spiritual caravan stretching across several kilometers. People lined both sides of the road to seek his blessings, and the atmosphere remained charged with devotion and enthusiasm.
The Acharya’s white-clad Dhawalvahini advanced from University Road towards 100 Feet Road, where residents from nearby colonies and suburban areas gathered in huge numbers to greet him. Devotees continuously chanted “Jai Jai Mahashraman” as the procession progressed. Acharya Mahashraman started his vihar at 7:15 AM from Tulsi Niketan, Sector-4 Hiran Magri, and reached Mahapragya Vihar after a journey of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Senior Vice President of Terapanth Sabha, Alok Pagaria, informed that the Acharya and his Dhawal Sena reached the Judio showroom near Shubhkesar Garden on 100 Feet Road, where thousands of followers welcomed him with deep reverence. From this point, an enormous spiritual rally formed under the banner of the Ahimsa Yatra, continuing till Mahapragya Vihar.
Throughout the route, community members stood with palak-pavda laid in honor. Numerous welcome gates were erected, where groups of Terapanth devotees bowed at the feet of the Acharya and received blessings. Over 100 children from Gyanshala, along with Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and Mahila Mandal, extended a warm reception.
The moment the Acharya entered Mahapragya Vihar, the entire campus echoed with thunderous chants of praise. The premises were decorated like a bride, draped in Panchrangi Jain flags, and a grand pandal overflowed with devotees. Despite the massive turnout, the arrangements ensured smooth management without inconvenience.
Separate areas were created for men and women to participate in Samayik. The event was jointly organized by Shri Jain Shwetambar Terapanthi Sabha, Yuvak Parishad, Mahila Mandal, Terapanth Professional Forum, Anuvrat Samiti, Kishor Mandal, and Kanya Mandal. Distinguished guests present included Pramod Samar, Ravindra Shrimali, Gajpal Singh Rathore, SS Sarangdevot (Vice-Chancellor, JRNU), Kamal Nahata, and others.
Acharya Mahashraman’s Address
Speaking at the Dharma Sabha, Acharya Mahashraman said:
“Where there is opposition, accept it with a smile. Despite difficulties in life, inner strength and strong morale are essential. Those who panic and abandon efforts cannot achieve success. People of a high spirit overcome challenges and emerge victorious. Success belongs to those who act fearlessly and continue their journey despite obstacles.”
He emphasized that Mahapragya Vihar is a sacred place where Acharya Mahapragya spent his Chaturmas in 2007, and as Yuvacharya, he too resided here. Udaipur is the holy city where Acharya Tulsi celebrated the Maryada Mahotsav, he added.
The program concluded with cultural presentations by Terapanth Mahila Mandal, enchanting the audience. Devotees earnestly requested Acharya Mahashraman to observe Chaturmas in Udaipur.
Later in the afternoon, Maharana Mewar Vishvaraj Singh along with over 50 nobles met the Acharya and received his blessings.

Terapanth Sabha Minister Abhishek Pokharna announced that on Wednesday at 3:30 PM, Acharya Mahashraman will commence vihar from Mahapragya Vihar to Sukher, and night stay will be at the residence of Sabha President Kamal Nahata.
