Udaipur: To provide relief from the winter cold, a sweater distribution programme was organized on Thursday at the Government Primary Schools of **Jhajheta–Majhra** and **Pipli Talai**, Gram Panchayat **Gotipa (Vallabhnagar)**, by the **Global Environmental Protection and Human Development Institute, Udaipur**.

The President of the organization, **Mr. Madan Singh Rawal**, retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, informed that sweaters were distributed to **72 students** present at the schools to protect them from the cold. The students expressed great happiness on receiving the sweaters. **Mrs. Priyanka Rawal**, teacher, also made a significant contribution to the successful organization of the programme.

During the event, students, school staff, and villagers present were motivated towards **environmental protection and conservation**. They were encouraged to plant trees and saplings in their surroundings and at their homes.

The organization has been actively working in the fields of social service and environmental conservation. In the year **2019**, as part of environmental protection and promotion, **100 saplings of various species including shade-giving, fruit-bearing, and medicinal plants** were planted in the premises of Government Primary School, Jhajheta–Majhra. These saplings have now grown into dense trees, proving to be a significant step towards environmental conservation.

Those present at the programme included **Mr. Madan Singh Rawal**, President of the organization; **Mrs. Uchchhab Kunwar Rawal**, retired lecturer; **Mr. Dharmveer Singh Rawal**; **Ms. Sunita Khidiya**, Head Mistress, Government Primary School Jhajheta; **Mr. Hiralal Bhil**, Head Master, Government Primary School Pipli Talai; and staff members **Rekha Joshi, Basanti Meghwal, Durga Kunwar, Mukesh Khatik**, among others.
