Udaipur:  Under the *National Road Safety Month* (January 1 to 31), a grand two-wheeler rally was organized in Udaipur city on Monday under the joint aegis of the District Police, Transport and Road Safety Department, and Aadhar Foundation. The objective of the rally was to create awareness among the general public about road safety and to reduce road accidents. On this occasion, a road safety–themed exhibition was also inaugurated at the Information Centre located at Chetak Circle.

Addressing the event, Honorable Judge of the District Legal Services Authority, Mr. Kuldeep Sharma, stated that the contribution of every individual in society is essential to reduce road accidents. Only through collective efforts can roads be made safer. Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police, Mr. Ashok Anjana, said that compared to last year, the rate of road accidents in Udaipur city has decreased this year, which is the result of the combined efforts of the administration and citizens. He appealed to the youth to strictly follow safe driving practices.

District Transport Officer Mr. Mukesh Dad emphasized that every citizen should learn and follow road safety rules and make safe travel a priority. Through the rally, the message “Drive Safe, Stay Safe” was conveyed to the citizens, which is the core objective of National Road Safety Month.

Earlier, during the rally, members of the Women Kalika Patrol Team and traffic police personnel rode two-wheelers through the city’s main routes, carrying placards with road safety messages and spreading awareness about safe driving. Mr. Narayan Chaudhary from Aadhar Foundation stated that the primary aim of such rallies is to connect the general public, especially youth, with road safety awareness. He added that the youth are the most affected group in road accidents, making awareness about safe driving among them extremely important.
