Udaipur: A **Divisional-Level Livestock Farmers Training Camp** under the **Entrepreneurship Development Programme of the National Livestock Mission** was successfully conducted on Saturday at the **Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Badgaon**. The training was sponsored by the **Department of Animal Husbandry**, Government of India, under the **Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying**. The program focused on promoting **rural poultry farming, sheep and goat rearing, horse and camel rearing**, along with **fodder development**.

Nearly **100 farmers** from **Udaipur, Dungarpur, Rajsamand, Banswara, and Pratapgarh** participated in the training with the objective of adopting **animal husbandry as a business enterprise**.

The program was inaugurated by **Udaipur MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat**, **Udaipur City MLA Shri Tarachand Jain**, **Udaipur Rural MLA Shri Phoolchand Meena**, and **Advocate Shri Deepak Sharma**. During the camp, livestock farmers were provided detailed information about **Government of India schemes**, including **50% capital subsidy** available through the **Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI)** for project proposals ranging from **₹3 lakh to ₹50 lakh**. Participants were informed about the **application process, required documents, project reports, enterprise details, and subsidy provisions**.

To ensure the success of the training camp, **Additional Director of Animal Husbandry Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Meena**, **Joint Director Dr. Surendra Chhangani**, **Dr. Suresh Jain**, **Deputy Director Dr. Kedar Vaishnav**, **Dr. Ravindra Goyal**, **Dr. Dattatraya Chaudhary**, **Dr. Om Prakash Sahu**, and **Dr. Padam Mil** provided **in-depth technical training** on various subject areas related to animal husbandry.

On this occasion, **In-charge of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dr. Prafulla Bhatnagar**, along with **Dr. Deepak Jain**, briefed the participants on the **functioning of the dairy unit at the KVK**, demonstrated **animal feed preparation and animal management practices**, and shared insights on **biogas projects** and **animal infertility prevention programs**.

The training camp proved to be highly informative and beneficial for farmers, equipping them with practical knowledge to develop **sustainable and profitable livestock-based enterprises**.
