Udaipur: Under the joint auspices of Vigyan Samiti Udaipur and the School Enterprise Association, a successful one-day Innovation Hackathon was organized for students from various government schools of the district. Students from PM Shri Mahatma Gandhi School, Jhadol; Swami Vivekanand Model School, Gogla; Mahatma Gandhi Government School, Pahara; Government Senior Secondary School, Bhupalpura; and Mahatma Gandhi Government School, Badgaon actively participated in the event.

Media In-charge Professor Vimal Sharma informed that students worked continuously in teams for nearly six hours, developing innovative models and ideas focused on finding solutions to pressing social problems. The key themes of the hackathon included climate change, road safety, agricultural innovation, smart waste management, and assistive technologies for persons with disabilities. The students demonstrated outstanding creativity, scientific thinking, and problem-solving skills.

During the programme, students presented their projects before office-bearers of Vigyan Samiti and officials from the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). On this occasion, Vigyan Samiti Patron K. L. Kothari, President Mahip Bhatnagar, K. L. Totawat, and Renu Bhandari were present.

Addressing the gathering, President Mahip Bhatnagar said that today’s students are not merely learning but are actively taking steps toward solving societal challenges. He described the hackathon as a powerful platform to bring out the hidden talent of students from rural and government schools.

Joint Director of SCERT, Kamlendra Singh Ranawat, praised the students and stated,
“After witnessing the thinking, understanding, and solutions presented by these children, it is clear that with proper guidance and opportunities, they can become the innovators of the nation’s future. Such programmes are giving concrete shape to the objectives of the National Education Policy.”

School Enterprise Association representative Kailash Chandra Rawal said, “Our objective is to ensure that students of government schools also move forward in the fields of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and play their role in building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

The success of the programme was greatly supported by Association facilitators Harsha, Lakshyaraj, Suresh, and Soorajmal, who provided continuous guidance, technical support, and motivation to the students. Principal Pushpendra Singh Rathore of Government Senior Secondary School, Navania, also encouraged the students.

The programme concluded with enthusiasm, innovation, and a shared resolve to continue inspiring young minds.
