Udaipur: The Congress party is attempting to create a false narrative by making baseless and hollow claims regarding the SIR (Special Intensive Revision). In India, the SIR process has been conducted eight times, seven of which took place during periods of Congress rule. Were those exercises correct then, and wrong now merely because they are being carried out under a BJP government?

These views were expressed by **BJP Udaipur City District President Gajpal Singh Rathore** while responding to allegations made by the Congress.

Rathore said that filing objections is the right of every political party, as well as of **BLA-1, BLA-2, and party workers**. He clarified that it is the responsibility of the administration to examine and verify these objections through a defined process by hearing both sides. The Election Commission conducts the investigation and issues notices accordingly. If a name is found to be genuine, it will not be removed; if found to be incorrect, it will be deleted.

He further stated that **voter list purification** is a routine and long-standing process that has been carried out periodically for years.

Rathore added that whenever the Congress loses elections, it blames EVMs, but when it wins, the same EVMs suddenly become reliable—clearly exposing its double standards.

He alleged that due to its politics of appeasement, the Congress wants illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants to remain in India and continue to have their names on voter lists, something that the BJP and Indian citizens can never accept.
