Udaipur: A meeting of the Mewar Khatik community was held on Thursday at Matrikundiya. Representatives of the community from the districts of Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, and Rajsamand attended the meeting.

During the meeting, with unanimous consent of the community leaders and members (Panchs), Shantilal Khatik of Rashmi was appointed as the Divisional Working President of the Mewar Khatik Community.

After his appointment, Shantilal Khatik stated that in the coming period a committee will be formed, and members from each district will be included to strengthen the organization. He further announced that later, through a democratic voting process, the election for the permanent president will be conducted. Until then, he will serve as the Working President.

The decision was taken collectively by the community leaders, intellectuals, and representatives present from across the Mewar region. On this occasion, Shantilal Khatik expressed his commitment to working with complete transparency and to connecting more members of the community with the organization.

He also issued strict instructions to prevent the misuse of social media within the community. Emphasis was placed on promoting education, eliminating social evils, encouraging social reform, and providing assistance for the education and marriage of economically weaker children.

Prominent members present at the meeting included Shyam Ji Chauhan (Gilund), former Pradhan Bherulal Ji (Rashmi), Labhchand Ji Khoiwal (Kundiya), Kishan Lal Ji Tepen (Kuraj), Chunnilal Ji (Harnathpura), Arun Ji Neemawat (Udaipur), Raju Ji Khoiwal (Ghosunda), former divisional president Babulal Toshawad, Pyarelal Ji (President, Rajnagar Khatik Samaj), Ramesh Ji Boriwal (Chittorgarh), Govardhan Ji Pahadiya (Fatehnagar), Sarpanch Prakash Ji (Bhadesar), Sarpanch Tarachand Ji (Surawas), Radheshyam Ji Boliwal (President, Ambedkar Welfare Memorial Society, Rajsamand), Advocate Ishwar Khatik, Devilal Kothariya, Babulal Ji (Bhinder), along with many other community members.

A large number of community representatives and members from Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Bhilwara, and Rajsamand were present at the meeting.
