Udaipur, St. Paul’s School, Udaipur, will host the CBSE Inter-School Mini Marathon Competition on Sunday, November 9. The event aims to promote sportsmanship, fitness awareness, and teamwork among students, and preparations are in full swing.

School Principal Father A. John Bosco informed that the marathon will commence at 6:30 a.m. from the Mahakaleshwar Temple premises and conclude at the Fish Aquarium point on Fatehsagar Pal via the scenic lakeside route. Around 1,000 students from Classes 9 to 12 of various CBSE-affiliated schools across Udaipur will participate. Free T-shirts will be provided to all participants, and attractive cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.
School Manager Father Stephen Rawat announced that the event will be graced by Arjuna Awardee and Asian Games medalist sprinter Ms. Dutee Chand as the Chief Guest. She will motivate young athletes by sharing her inspiring journey and emphasizing the importance of fitness, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Ms. Dutee Chand, India’s fastest woman sprinter, is renowned for her outstanding achievements, including two silver medals at the 2018 Asian Games. She is also India’s first openly gay athlete and a trailblazer who fought a landmark case in international athletics, symbolizing courage and determination.
The event will be presided over by Her Highness Maharani Nivritti Kumari Mewar, with Mr. Sanjeev Srivastava, Deputy Secretary of CBSE Ajmer Region and Head of the Centre of Excellence, as the Guest of Honour.
Several committees have been formed to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. The school management has invited all parents, students, and sports enthusiasts to participate and make the marathon a grand success.
