JAIPUR: BJP national general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh’s Jaipur visit on Friday sent a strong organisational message ahead of the Rajasthan civic elections, with the party leadership focusing on electoral preparedness, discipline and the need to contain internal dissent.

Santosh stressed that the municipal elections should not be taken lightly, despite being local contests. He underlined their potential impact on the wider political narrative and future electoral battles.

A key concern was the discontent that surfaced after ticket distribution. Santosh directed party leaders to prepare confidential, district-wise lists of leaders and workers allegedly working against BJP nominees or quietly supporting rival candidates.

Zero Tolerance for Internal Sabotage

Santosh is learnt to have adopted a firm stance against rebels and those involved in activities that could damage officially declared BJP candidates.

According to sources, the party has been asked to identify individuals involved in anti-party activities and take disciplinary action during the election process itself, rather than waiting until the polls are over.

He also stressed that personal differences must be kept aside and that party workers should campaign collectively behind the official candidates and the BJP’s lotus symbol.

Top Leadership Takes Stock of Poll Strategy

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, BJP state president Madan Rathore, state in-charge Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, election in-charge Harish Dwivedi and organisation general secretary Ajay Kumar were among the senior leaders involved in the discussions.

Santosh’s visit reflects the BJP’s effort to strengthen organisational coordination, enforce discipline and prevent internal divisions from affecting its performance in Rajasthan’s 2026 municipal elections.
