UDAIPUR, Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) celebrated Teachers’ Day with a series of academic and cultural programmes organised by its Pharmacy and Nursing departments, with Chancellor and Kul Pramukh Bhanwarlal Gurjar highlighting the importance of education, academic advancement and the contribution of teachers to students and society.

At the Department of Pharmacy, an introductory and career-oriented workshop for newly admitted B.Pharm students was organised on “Various Careers and Emerging Dimensions in Pharmacy.” The programme focused on emerging opportunities in pharmacy and the importance of preparing students for evolving professional fields.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Manju Mandot urged students to go beyond curriculum-based learning and give greater attention to research, innovation, experimentation and skill development. She said the pharmacy sector is continuously creating new opportunities and that research and innovation can enable students to make a meaningful contribution to society and the nation.

Chancellor and Kul Pramukh Bhanwarlal Gurjar also shared his views with the students, underlining the importance of academic development and the role of education in shaping future professionals.

Dr. Udaybhan Singh Rathore, principal, briefed students on career opportunities across the pharmaceutical industry, research, clinical fields and higher education. Dr. Gajendra Singh Rathore conducted the programme.

Nursing Department Honours Teachers

The Department of Nursing also celebrated Teachers’ Day with a programme featuring a student quiz competition and a felicitation ceremony for faculty members.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Vice Chancellor Prof. Manju Mandot. Students expressed their gratitude by honouring teachers for their guidance and contribution. A cake-cutting ceremony was also organised.

Mandot said teachers do more than impart knowledge, playing an important role in shaping students’ personalities, values and future.

Prof. (Dr.) Mohsin Chhipa, administrative officer Anwar Singh Ranawat, Mukesh Chaudhary, Shivani Nagda, Himanshi Mathur, Dr. Gaurang Trivedi, Dr. Kirti Rathore, Dr. Parikshit, Dr. Khushi, Dr. Mohsin and Laxman Singh Devda, along with faculty members and students from both departments, attended the programmes.

The nursing programme was conducted by Manas Gehlot.

The celebrations reinforced the importance of teachers in academic and personal development while promoting research, professional growth and a positive learning environment.
