Udaipur: During the ongoing Chaturmas Pravachan series at Dadawadi, Sadhvi Dr. Vidyut Prabha Shriji spoke about the historical significance and background of Kharatar Gachchh Day.

She said the occasion should not be viewed merely as an anniversary of the establishment of a sect, but as an opportunity to remember the great Acharyas, monks, nuns and lay followers who preserved and strengthened the Gachchh tradition through their dedication, penance and sacrifice.

She highlighted the spiritual contributions and austerities of revered personalities including Acharya Jineshwar Suri, Chhagan Sagar and Heer Sagar Surishwar, recalling their commitment to the Jain faith and its values.

Sadhvi Dr. Vidyut Prabha Shriji said that Jin Shasan is like a vast banyan tree, while all Jain traditions and sects are its branches, united by the same spiritual foundation and values.

Sadhvi Tanmay Ruchi Shriji and Sadhvi Yog Ruchi Shriji also shared their thoughts on the occasion and highlighted the importance of preserving the spiritual legacy of the tradition.

As part of the programme, grass was distributed at the gaushala, reflecting the spirit of compassion and service towards animals.
