UDAIPUR: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has approved increasing the frequency of train no. 20971/20972 Udaipur City-Shalimar Superfast Express from once to twice a week, following a demand raised by Udaipur MP Dr Mannalal Rawat.

Vaishnaw conveyed the decision to Rawat through a letter, stating that Indian Railways periodically expands passenger services in response to demand and operational requirements, with the objective of strengthening regional connectivity and improving public convenience.

The minister also said that other demands raised by Rawat for expanding rail facilities in Udaipur are under consideration.
