Udaipur : Yajna is not only a significant means of attaining moksha (liberation), but also contributes to environmental purification, good health, prosperity, family well-being and the preservation of cultural values, said international Vedic preacher Acharya Yogesh Bhardwaj.

Addressing the third day of the Veda Prachar Samaroh organised by Arya Samaj Hiran Magri, Acharya Bhardwaj, Chancellor of Panini Arsh Vidyakulam, Badhedi, Muzaffarnagar, highlighted the multifaceted significance of yajna in Vedic tradition.

He also described the Manusmriti as a text emphasising the dignity and respect of women and shared inspiring accounts of women who contributed to the glory of Indian culture.

Bhajan preacher Pandit Keshav Dev Sharma enthralled the gathering with devotional compositions centred on devotion to God, respect for parents and service to the nation.

Distinguished guest Vanprasthi Muni Narendra Arya said that Satyarth Prakash, the renowned work authored by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, contains solutions to many of the problems confronting humanity and offers a pathway towards global peace.

The yajna conducted for world peace was performed under the guidance of priest Indra Prakash Vaidik. Arya Samaj Hiran Magri president Sanjay Shandilya welcomed the gathering, while secretary Ved Mitra Arya proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was conducted by deputy secretary Bhupendra Sharma.

Arya Samaj Hiran Magri patron Prof. Dr. Amrit Lal Taparia, Bhanwar Lal Arya, Ramesh Chandra Jaiswal, vice-president Krishna Kumar Soni, Subhash Chandra Kothari and a large number of Arya Samaj members were present.

The six-day Veda Prachar Samaroh is being held at the Arya Samaj Hiran Magri premises in Sector 4. The programme will continue daily until August 27, from 7:30 am to 10 am and 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

The concluding session will be held on August 28 on the occasion of Shravani Upakarma, from 7:30 am to 11 am.
