Udaipur: Human life finds its true purpose not merely in individual advancement but in contributing to the larger interests of society and the nation. Excellence in understanding, mutual cooperation, social responsibility and awareness of civic duties are essential for the progress of humanity, said Acharya Yogesh Bhardwaj, Chancellor of Panini Arsh Vidyakulam, Badhedi, Muzaffarnagar.

He was addressing students at a special lecture session organised by the Department of Sanskrit at Shramjeevi College. Acharya Bhardwaj said students are the future torchbearers of the nation and must develop not only knowledge but also values, ethical awareness, social sensitivity and a strong sense of responsibility towards the country.

He urged students to sincerely fulfil their civic duties and actively contribute to the development of society and the nation. Education, he emphasised, should not be limited to earning a degree but should help individuals develop character and become responsible members of society.

Presiding over the programme, Prof. Dheeraj Prakash Joshi, Head of the Department of Sanskrit, said Sanskrit is not merely a language but a carrier of India’s rich heritage of knowledge, culture, philosophy and life values. He stressed the need to connect the study of Sanskrit with contemporary requirements while encouraging students to develop pride in the Indian knowledge tradition along with a scientific outlook.

On the occasion, Dr. Ved Mitra Arya, Minister of Arya Samaj Hiran Magri; Deputy Minister Bhupendra Sharma; Women’s Cell Coordinator Chandrakanta Vaidika; Yoga Acharya Jignesh Sharma; Associate Coordinator Bela Sisodia; and Vedacharya Shankarlal Vidyavachaspati presented a copy of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati’s seminal work Satyarth Prakash to Prof. Dheeraj Prakash Joshi for the college library.

The speakers highlighted the significance of Satyarth Prakash, describing it as an important work for intellectual awakening, rational thinking and social reform in Indian society.

Distinguished guest Vanprasthi Muni Narendra Arya also attended the programme and spoke about the contemporary relevance of Indian culture, Vedic thought and ethical values. He encouraged students to connect with India’s knowledge traditions and make their lives meaningful through values-based living.

The session was conducted by Dr. Narayan Singh Rao of the Department of Sanskrit, who introduced the guests and highlighted the theme of the programme. He also encouraged students to pursue the study of Sanskrit and Indian culture.

At the conclusion, Dr. Kusum Lata of the Sanskrit Department proposed the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to the guests, speakers, college administration, faculty members and students.

A large number of students and faculty members attended the special lecture, which provided an engaging platform for discussions on knowledge, values, Indian culture and social responsibility.
