Udaipur: Hundreds of devotees accorded a grand welcome to Krishnagiri Peethadhishwar Vasant Vijay Anand Giri Maharaj on his arrival at Vasupujya Temple Dadabari on Saturday morning. Devotees welcomed him with a band procession, following which Maharaj Shri offered prayers and had darshan of the deity at the temple. An Uvasaggaharam Mahapuja will be organised on Sunday in his presence.

During the regular spiritual discourse, Sadhvi Vidyutprabha Shri Ji, along with six other nuns, said favourable and unfavourable circumstances in life are not caused by others but are the results of one’s own karmas. Favourable situations arise with the fruition of meritorious deeds, while adverse circumstances result from past negative karmas.

She said Lord Mahavira purified his soul through intense penance and undertook rigorous spiritual practice for 12.5 years before attaining Keval Gyan. During this period, he faced numerous hardships and trials. According to Sadhviji, when a person stops blaming others for happiness or suffering, karmic bondage begins to decrease.

She emphasised that the root cause of karmic bondage lies not in external circumstances but in one’s thoughts. Right thinking and awareness help reduce karmic accumulation. While attachment may arise during favourable situations and aversion during adversity, spiritual practice teaches one to rise above both and maintain equanimity.

She said both favourable and adverse circumstances are inevitable, with difficult situations testing a person at every step. Spiritual practice and worship pave the way for purification of the soul, while one’s thoughts play a crucial role in both karmic bondage and liberation from karmas.

Using an example, she said that even if a person commits a grave wrong, the moment genuine remorse and self-reflection arise, it can mark the beginning of inner transformation. She urged people to remain constantly mindful of their thoughts and actions.

Sadhvi Pragyanjana Shri Ji, Sadhvi Naman Ruchi Shri Ji, Sadhvi Yogaruchi Shri Ji and Sadhvi Tanmay Ruchi Shri Ji presented devotional songs on the occasion.
