Udaipur: The College of Dairy and Food Technology (CDFT), Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, organised a tree plantation drive under the ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ campaign. The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation, expand green cover and create greater awareness about nature among students and staff.

The programme was inaugurated by MPUAT Nodal Officer Dr. N. L. Mahawar and Dean of Students’ Welfare Dr. Vikramaditya Dev. Addressing the gathering, they highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and urged everyone to plant more trees and take responsibility for their long-term protection.

Dr. Siddharth Mishra, Dean, CDFT, encouraged students to become sensitive and responsible citizens who actively contribute towards protecting the environment.

Programme Secretary Er. Kusum Meghwal welcomed the guests, faculty members and students. She said that tree plantation is not merely a campaign but an important effort towards ensuring a safe, clean and sustainable environment for future generations.

On the occasion, Dr. Arun Goyal, Principal, CDFT, Dr. Nikita Vadhawan and Dr. Kamlesh Meena highlighted the importance of planting trees and emphasised that their regular care and protection are equally essential.

The programme was successfully coordinated by Er. Kusum Meghwal and Mr. Anop Singh. Faculty members, staff and students enthusiastically planted saplings of different species across the campus and pledged to ensure their regular care and protection.

The programme concluded with all participants taking a collective pledge to spread the message of the ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ campaign among the wider community and actively contribute to environmental conservation by planting and protecting more trees.
