Udaipur: A special exhibition of watercolour paintings opened at the Art Gallery of Bagore Ki Haveli, organised by the West Zone Cultural Centre (WZCC), Udaipur. Centre Director Dr. Ashwin M. Dalvi inaugurated the exhibition by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Dr. Dalvi said the exhibition features a curated collection of watercolour artworks created during art camps organised in Goa and Chittorgarh. The paintings vividly capture the architectural heritage, natural landscapes and cultural life of both destinations through the expressive medium of watercolours.

The Goa section showcases captivating scenes of its beaches, historic churches, vibrant streets and lush natural surroundings. The Chittorgarh collection, meanwhile, brings alive the grandeur of Chittorgarh Fort, royal palaces and temples, along with the region’s rich legacy of valour, pride and history.

The transparent, delicate and luminous qualities of watercolour lend the exhibition a distinctive visual character, highlighting the unique cultural identities and scenic beauty of both regions. The artworks offer visitors an opportunity to explore India’s diverse heritage, historic architecture and natural landscapes while appreciating the sensitivity and aesthetic appeal of watercolour painting.

Officials and employees of the West Zone Cultural Centre were also present at the inauguration.
