Udaipur: Promising chess player Advika Swarupuria of Delhi Public School, Udaipur, delivered an impressive performance at the 24th ASEAN Age Group Chess Championships in Singapore, helping the Indian team secure a bronze medal in the team event and bringing pride to the country.

Held from August 7 to 17, the prestigious championship saw Advika represent India in the Under-20 category. She made a valuable contribution to the team’s bronze-medal finish through her performances in the Classical, Rapid and Blitz formats. A total of 777 players from 32 countries participated in the championship.

Congratulating Advika on her achievement, DPS Udaipur Pro Vice Chairman Govind Agrawal said it was a matter of immense pride for the school that a talented student had represented the nation and contributed to India’s success on an international platform.

School Principal Sanjay Narwaria and Vice Principal Rajesh Dhabhai congratulated Advika and her parents and wished her continued success in the future. They said her achievement would serve as an inspiration to young chess players.
