Sri Ganganagar: Students from Classes 1 to 8 at Elora Children Academy showcased their creativity, scientific thinking and practical skills at a science fair organised on the school campus.

Working in groups, the young students prepared a wide range of informative and innovative models based on different scientific concepts. The exhibits covered topics including computer and communication technology, biological sciences, transportation and road safety, the water cycle, water heating, chemical reactions, medical treatment, the digestive system, eyes, teeth and volcanoes, among others.

Students from different classes presented models on a variety of subjects. Class 1 students Nirbhay, Harshgun and Aryan presented a model on “People in School”. Class 2 students Takshvi, Taira and Jaykumar showcased a model on “Types of Animals”, while Bhoomi presented a model on “Directions”.

In Class 3, Ankit and Ritika presented a model depicting the “Parts of a Plant”. Class 4 students Harshpreet, Kalpana, Vandana and Pari prepared a model on “Types of Animals and Their Food”. Class 5 students Trisha, Sameer and Shivani presented a fish model, while Ankit and Eklavya demonstrated the “Water Cycle”.

Class 6 students Nehal, Vanshika, Abhishek, Riya and Jasmine presented models on “Chemical Reactions and States of Water”. Class 7 students Khushneet, Manvi and Gurpreet demonstrated the concept of “Hot Air Rises”.

Class 8 students also presented several interesting models. Punit, Dishant, Asif and Alfaz showcased a model on “Volcanoes”, while Divya and Isha presented a model on “The Human Eye”. Shagundeep demonstrated a model related to dental treatment, and Vaishnavi presented a model of the “Digestive System”.

Parents visiting the science fair closely observed the students’ models and interacted with them by asking questions about the experiments and working mechanisms. The students confidently explained their projects and demonstrated their understanding of the scientific concepts behind them.

School Principal Reema Sharma and Director Sanjeev Sharma appreciated the students for their efforts and creativity. They said that science helps children develop curiosity, logical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills. Events such as science fairs provide students with an opportunity to understand classroom concepts through practical applications and showcase their abilities.

They added that today’s young scientists could play an important role in the country’s future development, innovation and progress.

On the occasion, all students of the school were also administered an anti-drug pledge, conveying the message of building a healthy and drug-free society.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of teachers Vandana Maini and Yogita. The school management appreciated all participating students and teachers for their efforts and thanked the parents for attending the event and encouraging the young participants.
