Udaipur: Life Progressive Society, Udaipur, in association with Sahar Charitable Foundation, has launched a free training and employment programme aimed at connecting underprivileged students, youth and women with education, skill development and livelihood opportunities. The programme was inaugurated at a ceremony held in an enthusiastic atmosphere.

The chief guest at the event was Shantilal Jain of Meenakshi Properties. Ravindra Pal Kappu, Haji Mohammed Sharif Chhipa, Janab Yakub Ali of Shireen Garments, Khurshid Ahmed Sheikh, Shanu Khan of India Fashion, Janab Moiz Ali Gorawala, Janab Mustafa Raza, Janab Salim Raza and Advocate Dileep Kumar Bafna were among the distinguished guests, trainers and students present.

Focus on Employable Skills Alongside Education

The guests appreciated the initiative and said that combining education with job-oriented skills would create better opportunities for underprivileged youth and women to become financially independent. The organisation also highlighted its free educational support, sports activities, counselling and other essential facilities for students in need.

As part of the initiative, 11 free employment-oriented training programmes have been launched for youth and women. These include tailoring, mehendi, basic computers, embroidery and knitting, Tally and Photoshop, cooking, bag making and art & craft, academic coaching, Urdu-Arabic and Diniyat, career counselling, and beauty parlour training.

The organisation aims to equip people from disadvantaged backgrounds with practical skills and connect them with employment and self-employment opportunities, helping them achieve greater economic independence.

Special De-addiction Campaign Being Planned

Life Progressive Society President Dr. Khalil Agwani said a special campaign against substance abuse would soon be launched across Udaipur. Under the initiative, special camps and training programmes will be organised for children and young people affected by substance abuse and criminal tendencies, with the help of spiritual therapy, occupational therapy and diversion therapy.

He said the campaign aims to provide children and youth with a positive direction while creating new avenues for education, skill development and employment.

At the conclusion of the programme, Dr. Khalil Agwani expressed gratitude to all guests and participants. Treasurer Sajiya, Secretary Fatima, Vice President Moinuddin Qureshi, Deputy Secretary Aqeel Agwani and member Sajid Qureshi, along with other office-bearers and members of the organisation, were also present.
