Udaipur: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Bharat Vikas Parishad Mewar organised a ‘Guru Vandan Chhatra Abhinandan’ programme at Government Senior Upadhyaya Sanskrit School, Gokhar Magri. Held under the Parishad’s Sanskar initiative, the programme aimed to foster gratitude, respect and values among the younger generation while connecting Indian cultural traditions with nation-building.

Outstanding students and teachers of the school were felicitated during the programme. Five students from the school, which has been adopted by Bharat Vikas Parishad Mewar, were honoured with uparnas. The students then honoured their teachers by presenting them with uparnas and seeking their blessings by touching their feet.

Students and teachers were also presented with mementoes and certificates by the Parishad.

Dr. Jairaj Acharya, National Co-Convener, Service Activities, Bharat Vikas Parishad; Regional Convener, Contact Activities, Sanjeev Bhardwaj; President Dr. Narendra Singh Sisodia; former President Veena Paliwal; Treasurer Mahendra Paliwal; and Sanskar Convener Dr. Yogesh Jyani expressed gratitude to school head Man Singh Kushwah for hosting the programme.

Provincial office-bearer Chandrakant Paliwal administered an anti-addiction and national duty pledge to guests, parents and students. School representatives honoured Parishad office-bearers with uparnas and certificates of appreciation. The programme was conducted by Parishad Secretary Advocate Sanjay Mehta.
