Udaipur: Independence Day was celebrated at Aishwarya College with enthusiasm, patriotic spirit and great fervour. The chief guest was Dr. Sudhanshu Mani, widely known as the “father of the Vande Bharat train.”
The programme began with flag hoisting, followed by the National Anthem, which filled the campus with patriotic spirit. Students presented captivating patriotic dances, songs and poems. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mani recalled the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and said everyone must work honestly in their respective fields, contribute to improving society and fulfil their responsibilities towards the nation.
A special Zumba session was also conducted by choreographer and fitness expert Piyush Paliwal, with students and participants joining enthusiastically. The programme was hosted by Hanumat Singh Ranawat and Priyal Vasita.
Following the Independence Day celebrations, the second day of the two-day Multi-District Rotaract Rayla 2026 featured a grand workshop at the college. Held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the workshop included activities and games on six different themes for members of the Rotaract District Council.
Renowned trainers from across India, including Rotarian C.M. Bendre from Mumbai, Rotarian Shailesh Sarvah from Assam and Rotarian Amol Kabra from Nashik, shared valuable insights on leadership, social responsibility and personal development.
More than 300 participants from seven states took part in the two-day event. At the conclusion, DRR Rotarian Aishwarya Singh expressed gratitude to all participants and formally announced the successful completion of Rayla 2026.
