Udaipur : On the occasion of the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, Sai Tirupati University, Udaipur, organised a special awareness campaign to promote clean air and raise awareness about air pollution and its impact on health and the environment.

As part of the campaign, awareness sessions were conducted across all colleges of the university. Students, faculty members and staff were sensitised about the major causes of air pollution, its health impacts and practical measures to reduce pollution in daily life.

During the campaign, free Pollution Under Control (PUC) checks were conducted for 58 vehicles. In addition, a total of 605 people, including students, faculty members, staff, patients and attendants, took the Clean Air Pledge, committing themselves to contributing towards cleaner air and a healthier environment.

Speaking on the occasion, Sai Tirupati University Chairman Ashish Agrawal said that clean air is essential for a healthy life. He emphasised that environmental protection is not the responsibility of any individual or institution alone, but a collective responsibility of society.

“By creating environmental awareness among students and young people, we can help build a healthier and better environment for future generations,” he said. He added that such initiatives not only sensitise students towards environmental issues but also encourage them to become agents of positive change in society.

Addressing the students, Sai Tirupati University Kul Guru Dr. Prashant Nahar said that clean air and a healthy environment are vital for both the present and the future. He said the university remains committed to promoting public awareness through initiatives focused on social welfare and environmental responsibility.

Registrar Dr. Devendra Jain, Deputy Registrar Dr. Kanupriya Tiwari, Dr. Jyoti Tomar, Ms. Komal Dashora and Rajesh Chaubisa, along with faculty members and staff, were present on the occasion. The Sai Tirupati University NSS team also played an active role in the campaign.

The initiative aimed to strengthen awareness among the university community about clean air, healthy living and environmental conservation, while encouraging responsible everyday practices to minimise air pollution.
