Udaipur: Udaipur’s karate players delivered an impressive performance at the two-day Maharana Pratap Cup-5 Karate Championship, held at MVM School in Hiran Magri Sector 13, winning a total of 36 medals across the Kata and Final Kumite events.

Association representative Dr. Vikram Sehgal said that in the Kata event, Kiara, Iram, Shubhra, Janak, Maisha, Inmai, Meera, Manshika, Hemang, Hemendu, Vihaan, Mayansh, Medhansh, Soham and Nikki won 15 gold medals. Angel, Gunjan, Khushi and Rishi secured four silver medals.

In the Final Kumite event, Kiara, Rishi and Maisha won three gold medals. Nikki, Mayansh, Iram, Manshika, Soham and Angel secured six silver medals, while Khushi, Vihaan, Jojo, Meera, Medhansh, Gunjan, Hemang and Hemendu won eight bronze medals.

The Udaipur District Karate Association is affiliated with Karate Olympic organisations and the state-level karate body, supporting the development of karate talent in the region.
